Danelectro fish and chips review

Very thoughtfully laid out control sliders and LED to let you know if the effect is on or off. The Fish & Chips isn't the most quiet EQ I have but it's certainly within an acceptable range for live performances and may even work for some studio applications. The reason I mention is that a good EQ does not raise the noise floor is such a way.

That model was noisy and introduced a good amount of background hiss. The only one I won't rate well was one with the sliders that have integral LED lights by a manufacturer that normally makes great effects and had a small EQ that worked well before they re-designed it. I own several different EQ effects pedals and just had to try this one as having an EQ on my board is important to getting my sound.
